"BARVINSKY" – Short Film Production 2025

A short film about the life and persecution of Ukrainian composer Vasyl Barvinsky, created by film students of Lazi Akademie in Germany in 2024. The story focuses on Barvinsky's arrest by the Soviet regime and the emotional consequences of cultural repression. Shot entirely in Germany, the film captures the stark contrast between the composer's peaceful home life and the brutality of political imprisonment. With minimalistic settings and emotionally charged performances, the project aims to preserve the memory of Barvinsky and highlight the enduring spirit of Ukrainian culture.
